Aurelia Metals Ltd acquired the Peak Gold Mines, located in Cobar, a remote township in Western New South Wales, from Canadian mining company New Gold Inc. in 2018.

The acquisition represented a significant asset for Aurelia, solidifying Aurelia’s position in the highly prospective Cobar region, a highly endowed province, by expanding Aurelia’s exploration acreage in the area to 1,385 km2.

Peak has operated since 1992 as a medium sized underground gold mining operation, with a robust history of replacing and growing its mineral resources. Aurelia continues to leverage Peak's great team, building on a strong track record of performance and unlocking Peak’s longer-term potential.
